This Update Package is now a Full Installer (application,­ driver and firmware).­ It does not require that you had previously installed software from an original Xboard Installer CD,­ only that your system meets the minimum hardware requirements.­ Requirements: Microsoft Windows XP SP2,­ Windows XP x64 Edition,­ Windows Vista E-MU Xboard 25,­ Xboard 49,­ or Xboard 61 Before you install: If you have experienced a fault in any audio application,­ you should reboot Windows before applying this update.­ Exit all applications before installing these updates.­ This installer will automatically uninstall any older versions of software before installing the new version.­ E-MU Xboard Update V1.­02 contains the following feature enhancements and fixes: Application Feature Enhancements: Supports Microsoft Vista,­ 32-bit/­64-bit Driver Feature Enhancements: Supports Microsoft Vista,­ 32-bit/­64-bit Firmware Fixes: Issues with the UART calibration on power-up have been fixed Installation Instructions: To Install: Connect your Xboard and turn it on.­ Run the self-extracting installer.­ Follow the instructions shown in the Installer.­ When the Firmware Updater dialog box appears,­ select the device you want to update,­ and click Update.­ Note: DO NOT unplug the Xboard during the firmware update.­ Once calibration finishes,­ click Exit.­ When the Found New Hardware Wizard appears,­ click Cancel.­ Note: A small number of Xboard 25/­49 may encounter difficulties such as blank screen or incorrect knob response after installing the firmware.­ If you encounter this problem,­ you should re-initialize the Xboard's UART calibration.­
